Get your game socks on kids, the deals are in full swing for this weekend and the week that follows.  As always, I direct your attention to Steam where you’ll find the best sales this side of sale-town.  For this weekend only, you too can be the proud owner of your very own copy of The Secret of Monkey Island for just $4.99.  This is the remake, folks.  Voice acting, better graphics, the same dry humor and raw wit that made you fall in love with [and simultaneously groan at] the original SoMI.

If the point and click thing isn’t your sort, then fear not.. there is always more!  Until the 21st, Steam also has Garry’s Mod on sale for a very delicious price of $4.99 as well!  Now that’s something I could really bit into and then gently gnaw on until all the juices are turned to spit.  Garry’s Mod, for those not in the know, is a sandbox plethera of awesome.  Build your own levels, invite your friends into custome games and do it all with models from such classics like Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and Half-Life.   Zombie Tetris is always a favorite of mine, but feel free to explore the possibilities now that the price has been reduced!
