How To Piss Cruz Off In 1 Minute 58 Seconds

Posted by Aevan On November - 28 - 2009

Apparently, this is no joke.  This is the actual piece of crap trailer that they are using to advertise the new King of Fighters movie.   Could it be worse than Mortal Kombat?  Could it be worse than that nightmare of a Chun-Li movie?  Dear God, I think it might be.  It looks to completely ignore all semblance of a story line that the original series had.  Am I wrong about this?  I’ll let you, the readers, clarify.

Leave your comments, folks.  Are you ready to burn your eyes out too, or could it be passable as an enjoyable film if you just pretend it has nothing to do with KOF?

Super Street Fighter 4: It's Good To Know More Than Two Moves

This just-in: Capcom has confirmed three new characters for Super Street Fighter 4, and teased at a fourth. Final Fight vets Cody and Guy, along with Street Fighter Alpha fan-favorite Adon, are going to be in the game when it drops, and promotional material has hinted that everyone’s favorite ninja from Street Fighter 3, Ibuki, will be returning as well.

Does this open the floodgate for other fan-favorites from the Alpha and 3 series? I’m rooting for Karin and Dudley, myself, but only time will tell.

When Iwata Asks, Miyamoto Answers

Okay, so that title makes this seem a little more mean than it actually is. There is currently a Q&A session going on between Shigeru Miyamoto and Satoru Iwata over the release of Super Mario Bros. Wii, which is posted for everybody to read. Iwata has been asking many questions on the history of the development of the Mario games, and it’s quite an enjoyable read.

Head over to the first page here, and you will find links to each subsequent page at the bottom.

Once Again, Uncharted 2 In One Word

uncharted-2-among-thieves

After finally playing through Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, I find it only fitting to write my own single word review.

“Masterpiece.”

In response to the review we commented on previously, I only recall two quick time events used in the entire game, and those are only when fighting a certain type of enemy, and only if they manage to grab you. Plus, these two events require pressing the two standard melee attack buttons at times that make perfect sense, so instead of really being QTE, the button icons on the screen are more just informing you that you can start your regular attack inputs – these two enemies just have a different attack animation so you may not have understood it was time to mash buttons.

Get Off My Lawn Texture!

Posted by BossGoji On November - 21 - 2009

For some reason, I am being incredibly nostalgic today. Remember when…

* …there was no such thing as automapping, and if you wanted a map of the dungeon you had to DRAW AN ACTUAL MAP?

* …copy-protection came in quiz-format, rather than DRM fuckery?

* …you didn’t realize that Nintendo Power was NOTHING but advertisements?

* …the manual would have all the story crammed into it to save space on the game cartridge?

* …the manual would lie to you on purpose?

* …the GAME would lie to you on purpose? (‘Get a silk bag from the graveyard duck to live longer!’)

* …big-head cheats were the grand summit of easter eggs?

* …there actually WASN’T a Cow Level?

* …Samus being a girl was shocking?

* …no matter what game you were playing, the ‘water’ level or dungeon was always the hardest?

* …you actually thought Sheng Long might be real?

I can’t be the only who remembers this stuff. What stuff do you guys miss about old games?
