Apparently, this is no joke. This is the actual piece of crap trailer that they are using to advertise the new King of Fighters movie. Could it be worse than Mortal Kombat? Could it be worse than that nightmare of a Chun-Li movie? Dear God, I think it might be. It looks to completely ignore all semblance of a story line that the original series had. Am I wrong about this? I’ll let you, the readers, clarify.
Leave your comments, folks. Are you ready to burn your eyes out too, or could it be passable as an enjoyable film if you just pretend it has nothing to do with KOF?
The actual action will probably be pretty tight, but they should have just called it “Why Stuntmen Aren’t Actors.”

That is an ass sandwich. Why would you even do that? It’s not like KOF is even a particularly big draw in this country, you’d be better off making a terrible DOA movie.

I can’t even tell which character is which… I see flames in one of the scene but I kinda lost count on how many characters that had flame-like abilities in KoF.
Don’t know about you, but I got a sort of X-Men vibe on the first part. “Living among us…”
Only four characters in KoF can make fire like that. Kyo, Iori, K’ and Ash. I already know Ash isn’t in this movie, so that leaves three. Nobody is wearing a giant red glove, nor does anybody have spiky silver hair, which eliminates K’. In the still image on the Youtube player above I would assume that the guy on the right is Kyo, because he wears Kyo’s trademark gloves at times in the video, so I guess the other guy is Iori.
But sure, one or two other people have abilities that may involve fire in some way, but only three have it as a natural ability, and K’ was an experiment to give somebody Kyo’s power.
