This just-in: Capcom has confirmed three new characters for Super Street Fighter 4, and teased at a fourth. Final Fight vets Cody and Guy, along with Street Fighter Alpha fan-favorite Adon, are going to be in the game when it drops, and promotional material has hinted that everyone’s favorite ninja from Street Fighter 3, Ibuki, will be returning as well.
Does this open the floodgate for other fan-favorites from the Alpha and 3 series? I’m rooting for Karin and Dudley, myself, but only time will tell.
Wait wait wait. Ibuki? Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t that make her, like, five years old in the time SFIV is set?
Sakura is in her 20s and still wears a school uniform, Bison’s died at least twice, and Gen is still in prime fighting condition despite having leukemia and being older than original sin. I think the degree to which Capcom gives a shit about relative age and health is somewhere between “zero” and “no”.
