So, the Borderlands action isn’t going the full time as planned, as one of the guys bailed for being ‘too tired’, and will be back later on in the day. I’ll be back in the action at around midday!

So, Borderlands is officially out on PC today. What am I doing to celebrate? Well, let me tell you…

As some of you may know, and most of you do not, I will be spending tomorrow starting at around 6-7pm CST and then at the very least the next 24 hours following that playing Borderlands LAN’d with three friends in the town I live in. In this time, we hope to at least make it through the main storyline and spend a lot of it exploring, finding random loot and generally making the most out of what appears to be the most Dangerously Addictive Game Of The Year. It will also give me more than enough information with which to discuss the game with Mix later on this week.

I also plan to have a live broadcast showcasing the event, providing Xfire devs have updated their software to accommodate. I may also be broadcasting the Left 4 Dead 2 demo earlier on in the day tomorrow (probably sometime after 1pm CST up until we start on Borderlands) based on the same criteria. Stay tuned folks!

A sad day indeed. For those of you who may not know, Captain Lou Albano, aside form being some kind of famous WWE manager, he also charmed the hearts and souls of millions of children around the world by playing the part of Mario on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show!!

You shall be missed, Captain Lou.

Since from your interest in Guilty Gear and BravBlue I figured you had more than just a passing interest in 2D fighters Goji, I wanted to show you that there’s a new addition to my collection. I’ll give you a hint – it’s the top left PS2 game. Click the picture for the full image.

It is literally impossible to find a video game based movie that’s actually good, so what if somebody made a movie based on a futuristic video game that doesn’t actually exist? Personally, I think it would be the only chance we’re ever going to have for a good movie in this ilk.

Well, Jarett Lee Conaway has made just such a movie. It’s only a short movie, mind, clocking in at around twenty minutes, but I was thoroughly entertained throughout. The acting is a little off (although I personally found it to be spot-on), and the story is very cliche, but the production values were amazing and the effects were really well done for a short movie. Plus, I happen to be a ridiculously huge fan of 2D fighting games, so this is like my perfect future depicted right here.

Get  your shiny headed assassin faces over to Steam this weekend and pick up any or all of the Hitman games for %50 off!  That’s right, any or all.  You can pick them up individually for half off or buy the entire collection for..get this… half off!   It puts the games at a cool $5 each, which is something you can really shoot for.

Your turn, Mix. I don’t care if you pre-ordered it on some home console. You don’t have any friends, especially friends who play console games. Come the end of the month, we have at least a Bazillion guns to find.

This goes out to anybody on our Steam list too. I will be tied up on the 27th and 28th for 36 hours of constant Borderlands action at a LAN party with some friends, but I am completely open to adventure afterwards!

Let’s be honest, it’s been a slow weekend.
